Rodd Point House

Rodd Point House

New dwelling house and pool - Complying Development Certificate (CDC) - City of Canada Bay Council

This family home is situated in Sydney's inner-west, within the City of Canada Bay precinct. The property is subject to amazing water views of Iron Cove, which remained an influencing aspect during the design process.

A seamless transition from interior to exterior is heightened by the majestic water views and superior internal finishes. The material selection intensifies this sense of grandeur, which inflicts an ostentatious atmosphere.

The Sydesign team were able to blur the line of varying design elements and finishes to feature both classic and modern styles.

The harmonious and cohesive design transformation from inside to out encapsulate the client's desired palates, furniture style and current modern trends.

Construction: Resbuild Australia Pty Ltd

The most significant component of this major alterations and additions project by Sydesign was the intense transformation from an old unsightly two storey red brick house, to a grand unrecognisable modern retreat.

This spacious family home incorporates two grand living zones, kitchen, dining, four bedrooms, and bathroom on the ground floor. The entire first floor is occupied by a luxurious double sized master bedroom, walk in robe and ensuite, whilst the lower ground floor facilitates a two car garage, wine cellar, home office and authentic cinema room.

This modern home expresses a classic-contemporary feel, which is articulated in the high-class selection of internal finishes. The open plan kitchen/living/dining areas are enhanced by the reflective water surface of the adjacent swimming pool. The prestigious Calcutta marble bench top from kitchen internally complements the external Versace pool tile finish.
